BALTIMORE, MD (2/13/15) – Mid-Atlantic-based public relations firm Weiss PR, Inc. experienced a 40 percent year-over-year growth in revenues in 2014, marking the best year in the company’s history.

The firm, which focuses on helping clients reach, engage, and influence the right audiences in order to achieve their communications and business goals, attributed the jump in revenues to its growing technology and crisis communications practices.

“Adding Matthew Pugh – whose experience includes more than a decade working with high-growth tech companies – to lead our technology practice set the stage for us to win several new tech accounts, including Wynyard Group, Mind Over Machines, SafeNet, and TrainACE,” explains Ray Weiss, who co-founded the firm with Jessica Tiller Trzyna in 2008.

Weiss PR was named U.S. agency of record for New Zealand-based Wynyard Group, a market leader in risk management and crime fighting software used in investigations and intelligence operations by government agencies and financial organizations, in August 2014.

The firm was also selected to handle public relations for Mind Over Machines  – an IT solutions firm that provides application development, data management, and IT consulting – and TrainACE, a professional computer training organization focused on the IT and cyber security industries.

Weiss PR also handles public relations for the TrainACE offshoot, Cybrary.IT,  the world’s first and only tuition-free massive open online course (MOOC) for IT and cyber security.

In addition to its new clients, Weiss PR took on several new crisis communications initiatives, while expanding its relationship with DDG, a worldwide leader in delivering inspired planning, architecture, interiors, graphics, and design solutions. The firm is now handling work for DDG in the U.S., Turkey, Russia, and Dubai.

Over the past two years, Weiss PR’s significant growth has earned it a place on the Baltimore Business Journal’s list of Fastest Growing Private Companies, as well as a top 20 ranking of PR firms in the D.C. region by O’Dwyer’s. The firm has also earned several industry accolades, including and most recently a Gold Award in the Fourth Annual PR World Awards for the public relations campaign it designed to launch and promote SafeMonk, an encryption security solution designed specifically for the file sharing service, Dropbox.
